We are beyond excited to announce our brand new blog series — Soul Spotlight.
Soul Spotlight is our way of celebrating some incredibly inspiring, passion fueled alchemists. Those whose energy is contagious, whose hearts are made of gold, those who day in and day out make this world a better, brighter, and even more beautiful place. From published authors, to green juice junkies, to intuitive rockstars and everything between, this is where we showcase them and all of their beauty.
To kickoff the Soul Spotlight series, we are SO excited to introduce you to Stephanie Kirylych, fellow Bostonian, holistic life & wellness coach, founder of Spirited Well-being, and total mega babe. We had the chance to meet Steph this summer at Gabrielle Bernstein’s summer retreat in the Berkshires and as you’ll soon come to find out, she is an absolute gem. You know those people who instantly make you feel good, Stephanie is one of them. A genuine miracle worker and total sweetheart, we know you’re going to love her as much as we do.
Tell us a little about yourself. What is your mission?
I am a holistic life and wellness coach. My mission is to help you realize that you are enough. You are gorgeous and perfectly imperfect just as you are. And true health and happiness ARE within your reach. I’m here to help you find your happy place – the place where you feel vibrant, healthy, and completely yourself – and empower you to set up a permanent residence there. And remind you that life doesn’t have to be so damn hard.
What does ‘inner alchemy’ mean to you?To me, inner alchemy means that it all starts on the inside. In order to find true health and happiness, I must turn inward. Connection to my inner wisdom, to my body, and to my soul is always the answer.
How do you nourish your ..
Mind - I nourish my mind by reading inspirational and thought-provoking books and blogs, trying new things, and making sleep a priority.
Body - Lots and lots of greens, buckets of water, and yoga. My body craves whole and wholesome foods and loves to stretch and twist on my yoga mat.
Soul - I nourish my soul by connecting with my soul sisters, daily meditation, Kundalini yoga, journaling, and prayer.
The (book / moment / teacher / practice / tool) that changed everything ..
One sleepless night (of many) I was scrolling through blog posts under the covers so I wouldn’t wake up my boyfriend. I found myself on a blog that mentioned a book, May Cause Miracles, by life coach and inspirational speaker Gabrielle Bernstein. I had never read a self-help book, had no idea who Gabby was, and certainly didn’t believe in miracles but…there was something about the book. Gabby was on the cover and she looked so happy. She looked how I longed to look. So, thanks to Amazon 1-click ordering, I ordered the book before my mind could talk me out of it.
Everything started to change the moment I placed that order. I had found something – I had found hope. I allowed myself to believe that there could be another way – a better way. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I had no clue how to find health or happiness (and didn’t even fully believe that it was possible) but I had a glimmer of hope. And that’s all it took. That slight willingness and surrender opened the door to a life I never even imagined possible.
And now I am a certified May Cause Miracles coach, having been trained by Gabby, and love guiding others on the life changing journey of busting through blocks and opening up to the voice of love!
What’s the one thing you wish you knew when you were first starting out on this journey?
I wish I knew that there was no “perfect” path to take. I spent so much time early on trying to mimic the journeys of those who were inspiring me and couldn’t understand why I wasn’t going from me to Gabby Bernstein in 60 seconds. It took me quite some time to realize that this journey was mine to have. It was about me and finding the practices, people, and beliefs that served me. And my practice won’t (and shouldn’t) look like anyone else’s. This is what I love so much about my coaching practice. It is so rewarding and engaging to guide others on their own unique journey. There is no one size fits all coaching approach and every session is individual and new.
A day in the life of Stephanie Kirylych looks like..
I get up very early for work - my day job is in the registrar’s office of a Boston area college. I practice a few self-care rituals in the morning before settling into the car for a lengthy commute. I listen to podcasts, books, and high-vibe playlists to pass the time. My dog comes to work with me so I walk him on my breaks and he cuddles with me in my desk chair while I work. After work I love preparing healthy meals for me and my boyfriend and spending quality time with him.
Any morning rituals?
I get up insanely early for work so my morning ritual has to be quick while also being impactful. I say a prayer from A Course in Miracles as soon as my alarm goes off. “Where would you have me go, what would you have me do, what would you have me say, and to whom?” I drink a large glass of lemon water and immediately go outside for a short walk with my dog. I put the kettle on and while the water is boiling I pull a Miracles Now card and meditate for a few minutes.
I love to wind down with a hot cup of tea, my journal, and gratitude. I get into bed and write out my gratitude list for the day and usually meditate for a few minutes. I’ve recently started listening to Jordan Bach’s bedtime mantras and absolutely love them! (Oh - and my eye mask is a critical part of my evening routine!)
Water and meditation. All day. Every day.
Any unconventional life hacks / beauty tricks you swear by?
I swear by apple cider vinegar. I throw back shots of ACV when my digestive system or skin need a little boost and I use a toner made of ACV, witch hazel, and a few essential oils. My skin has never been clearer or less oily!
Joshua Radin. If you haven’t heard his music stop everything and go listen. (ps: you’re welcome)
^^seriously, go listen!
Go-to smoothie recipe:
I’m a smoothie for breakfast kind of gal and love this blueberry and cream smoothie.
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 large handfuls organic baby spinach
1 cup frozen wild blueberries
2-3 tbs coconut cream
1/2 - 1 banana (if frozen, use less blueberries)
1 tbs grass-fed gelatin
1 tbs cacao powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp maca
1 tsp bee pollen
1 tsp probiotics powder
Do you have a mantra, motto, or personal manifesto you live by?
My mantra is: happiness is a choice I make. This mantra is so empowering. Whenever I feel like I’m on the express train to crazytown I bust it out. It instantly brings me back to my truth and reminds me that I get to choose how I experience life.
How do you connect to your internal guidance, your inner wisdom, your inner alchemist?
Kundalini yoga and meditation is the most powerful way for me to connect to my inner alchemist. There is something magical about Kundalini for me. The movement, breathing, and chanting add up to a wild experience for me. I feel the most in my body and tapped into my intuition when practicing Kundalini.
Tell us one thing you haven’t done yet that you really, really want to do.
I really, really want to go on an African safari. I’ve literally been dreaming about it my entire life.
