SEPTEMBER LINK LOVE
THE PRODUCTS, PRACTICES, PEOPLE, AND PLACES WE’RE CURRENTLY VIBING WITH:
Fast, meet food. Although we usually make our own mixes and pack our own meals, we love what Tyme Food is doing with their new line of healthy, easy to eat, on-the-go options. This on a plane? You’d make the entire airport jealous.
You’d make the entire world jealous if you followed those eats with a fresh batch of these.
Skin protocols for acne, rosacea, and dry skin that actually work? Yes please.
Also a huge yes to this: “Maybe we shouldn’t just talk about the jobs we did get, but also the ones we didn’t; not just the times we were sure of ourselves, but also the times we weren’t. And not only the lattes we drank, but also the ones we cried into. Maybe we should talk about our failures and not just our successes. And maybe I should be proud of my struggle instead of ashamed, because I think at the least it means I’m trying.” | via The Coveteur
The Life Stylist with Luke Storey has quickly become a must-listen podcast. Dedicated to living life at the highest level of human potential, Luke brings thought-provoking interviews with some of the world’s leading experts in health, spirituality, and personal development. We especially liked his interview with Dr. Mercola. We also think we’d be friends IRL.
Speaking of Dr. Mercola and IRL friends, in a recent Bulletproof Radio interview with Dave Asprey (also a must-listen podcast!), he mentioned using a DIY magnesium bicarbonate water solution to nourish your cells from the inside out and combat EMF emissions. Obviously, we tried it. Details soon to come!
In other news, Laura Dern's letter to her 12-year-old daughter will make you cry. In a good way. We love her advice.
And her advice. Lacy demystifies manifestation, again.
We’re all for cheap airline tickets. I know Tuesday am is the time to buy (prices are supposedly cheaper) but I’ve yet to really hack the system. Per NYMag’s advice, I’m now following @JetBlueCheeps on Twitter to stay on top of JetBlue’s flash sales ($20 deals!!) and a handful of other expert travel “nerds”.
So, who wants to go glamping at Zion National Park with me? Or Yellowstone? Take your pick.
It’s fig season! Finally!! The sweetest three weeks of the year. Where, I actually fly across the country, stuff my face, gain 10 pounds, and am repeatedly reprimanded by my family for not sharing. While I typically don’t *do* anything to these soft morsels of plant perfection (figs need nothing), this year I’m feeling a bit adventurous. Fig balsamic vinaigrette *might* end up on my plate…
I often question how random can I be with these Link Love posts. Have I crossed the line? You, tell me.
And finally, Fuck Cancer.
That is all.
