Does this crisp November weather leave you craving that summer sun kissed glow? If so, you’re in luck. We’re in the kitchen today making magic per usual, this time in the form of all natural homemade bronzer (that's good enough to eat).
Typical store-bought bronzers are loaded with harmful chemical ingredients and carcinogenic substances—avoid the toxic overload and make your own.
What you need:
3 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp cacao powder
1 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tsp arrowroot powder
15 drops essential oil (*optional, if you prefer a loose powder, leave out the essential oil)
An empty, sealable container like a small mason jar
What you do:
Simply mix the ingredients together breaking up any clumps. Place the powder in a clean, empty compact and pack it in firmly (our mason jar doubled as the mixing container & compact). Try not to taste.
Feel free to play with the amounts to find your perfect color.
Cinnamon provides a soft and subtle glow.
Cacao powder adds darkness and depth.
Nutmeg gives you that lovely sun-kissed shade.
Arrowroot powder spreads it out and lightens it up.
Essential oil thickens it up and keeps it together (feel free to leave this out if you prefer a loose powder).
TWEET IT OUT: The secret to keeping your summer glow all winter long.
